![]() ![]() Those other links were the ones I followed when first receiving the katana. I tried to install with a fourth windows 10 computer that has never seen the drivers before to rule out the possibility of faulty drivers on the pc and was also undetected in the same way (the drivers did not install despite following those important instructions & there was no message that any usb device had been plugged in). ![]() It just comes up with an error that the os is unsupported for both windows 10 and windows 8.1 computers. The programme in that link does not work for me. Quote from: admin on August 02, 2018, 06:18:23 AMġ) Disconnect all Roland/ Boss gear USB connections, and use the Roland Clean ALL Utility ( to remove your broken Roland USB Driver installation The automatic windows 10 drivers do not install and the windows 8 drivers although manual still require some level of connection:ĭevices on the best pc, none of them resembling any current boss katana connection, all of them have been identified as other components of my computer:ĭoes anyone have any ideas besides fighting with the seller to get a replacement. I often get asked to try re-installing the drivers. No boss drive, no katana sound device, no unknown device, nothing changes on the computers no matter which USB 2.0 port I plug it in or how many times I do a factory reset. When I plug it in, the katana itself indicates that it has been plugged in but on the computer I might as well have plugged in an empty USB chord because there's nothing. There are no corrupt drivers or anything that I can see. The amp plays but I can't connect it to the computer, and I can't update the drivers for the boss because it won't connect even though the firmware in the amp is in the most recent version. However none of those links have any information on what to do when the katana can't connect to the computer at all, it's fine when you can see the corrupted device and re-install the drivers, but my issue is that I can't see it and no-one seems to have a fix for it. ![]() The roland technical support who try to reply in 24 hours aren't being much use in that regard and the people I've spoken to online just recommend links that you follow to install the drivers, the same links that I have been following since the beginning. I have tried 4 computers over 3 versions of windows, 3 functional cables old and new. Input logs show that no new devices have been put into the computer in the past 2 weeks, even though I've spent a lot of that time plugging it in to try and fix the problem. My amp connected fine the first time I plugged it in but it dropped out soon after and has been completely invisible to computers ever since. ![]()
